Car insurance is up for renew, do you go for the cheapest or the best supplier? Ideally I'd like to go back to LV, however they're £900 - compared to the cheapest which is GoSkippy (never heard of them!) at £430. Esure are around 580 and I'm sure I've heard of them.

Do some research on companies you haven't heard of.

Ring LV and tell them you've a quote for £x (make sure it's the same cover) they should offer some reduction.
Andi.

Op there is always a reason why the same crap companies quote you half the price that the proper company's do its because there service is non existent. Every year Esure, Go skippy and Debenhams quote me far less than everyone else but as soon as you google there name for reviews you see why they offer cheap quotes when they are getting hundreds of reviews of 1/5 or 1/10 on legit sites they have to lure new customers someway when it's obvious they are awful.
Go with a main company like Aviva, Direct line, LV, Admiral, etc

Up to you really... I've never had an issue with any insurance company I've dealt with.

I'll end up going with GoSkippy next year because although the service is pretty much non-existent they're a few thousand cheaper than most :p
