I recently changed my case from my Aerocool DS Cube as it was getting rather hot even with all fans running etc.

I got my hands on an air 240 which is actually smaller but a much better layout. I Highly reccomend this case to anybody looking for a great Matx Case.
My only thought of negativity on this case is that to run the 8 pin mobo atx cable behind the tray you need to remove the 3.5 Hdd Cages and then pin the cable into place before putting it back and its a tight fit. Overall it really is a great case.

Anyway Im looking for ideal on what to do with my DS Cube case. I already have a computer for MRS which she loves and a HTPC is a PI3. So stuck for ideas.
Any suggestions?

TIA

I just built my wife's PC with a Air 240. Wonderful case with great air flow. The only down side is not every GPU will fit. It says in the manual only 120mm is the highest GPU or CPU cooler will fit ,but in fact 130mm is the highest. I've tested this

Totally agree. I got an rx580 in mine with cables and its about 1mm from side panel. Wouldnt wanna try with a bigger card atall!

Too many restriction on gpu and cooler size for me. Cooltek w2 is my cube case of choice.
Not a fan of cooltec due to past experience but I know a lot of people love them!

Just built my new system into this case, I wasn't aware at all that not all graphics cards will fit - its not well advertised, and of course my 980ti doesn't fit with the side panel on - any one know what 980ti's will fit ??? Or is there a list of compatible cards? I can't find one

using a strix rx 580 8gb. it fits just from end to end and height with less than a few mm on every side. maybe that can give you a reference of size to start from.

The design of the HDD stuff seems to have been a bit of a low priority in both the 240 and 540 air cases :( probably the one weakness of the case.

I actually like the slot in HDD positions at the bottom of the 540 but it could have been so much better implemented and the SSD cage is a bit meh and again could have been something they innovated instead of just what appears to be slapping it in at the last minute where there was a bit of space.

I have an Air 240 with an EVGA SC 980ti. Fits perfectly fine but the power cables might touch the side panel. When I researched the case I found a thread on the Corsair website that says the like of the MSI twin Frozr cards and Asus Strix won't fit as they are too tall/wide. I think most reference cards (980ti, 1070 FE, 1080 FE and 1080Ti FE) will fit ok. As a rule of thumb if the PCB or heat sink of a card extends beyond the L part of the I/O sheild it wont fit in this case.

Yeh i took a chance with my strix but it just "fits" Wouldnt want to try with anything even a smidge bigger. Its cool though no issues with airflow etc.

Good to know the newer Strix models fit in the 240. When i was building my system a few years ago the old dual fan Strix (gtx 970/980) were even wider and wouldn't fit. Saw pictures of people chopping holes in the side panel to fit them in!

I bet we are all guilty of our own little "modifications" to our cases from time to time.

I was recently considering the Air 240 as a replacement for my ATX BitFenix Shinobi which I've been using with a MicroATX motherboard but I had to rule it out due to the CPU cooler height limitations. Eventually found the Raidmax Hyperion (rebadged as Element Gaming here) which is similar dimensions to the Air 240 but with enough space for a tall CPU cooler.

Will post some pics when I've moved into it, but currently awaiting Yodel to deliver it (if they ever do... sigh). Would've been awesome if they'd stocked it here.

240 owners, I could do with a little advice if possible. I intend to get this case and fit a 240mm AiO in the front, but I also have a Hybrid 1080Ti that I need to mount somewhere. Will it fit at the top? I'm hoping so tbh, either that or it's a low profile cooler and I'm not sure it'll be enough for my 7700k@5Ghz...

thanks in advance

The 240 AIO Will fit in the front fine but you may struggle fitting another rad on top due to motherboard fitting. I am 99% sure you wont be be able to fit both in.
