After a change of colour scheme, I'm needing to change the colour of my heatspreaders on my Corsair vengeance LPX DDR4 memory.
I've searched for the colour I need (green) but can't seem to find anyone who does them.

I'm now considering removing the heatspreaders & changing the colour myself, however I'm thinking that regular paint or spraying them etc will cause thermal issues

I don't want LED type memory so is there another option or do I just put up with the colour I have.
Alternative is to get black I suppose :D

If you google

"take apart and paint corsair ddr"

first result should be a guide. There will be some youtube guides too. - I'd use Plasticote or similar rattle can spray.

As long as it's got good heat tolerance it's fine, things like engine paints from Halfords work or anything else for radiators. As long as it has a decent temperature rating it's all good...

Word of warning though if you remove the spreaders to paint they are stuck on the chips with thermal tape which will not necessarily be reusable so the easy route is masking them really well and painting as they are. It's up to you :)

Heatspreaders on memory hasn't been need since DDR2. In fact heat spreaders are probably insulating.

If the heat sinks are aluminium you could get them anodized green. If you want to paint bare ally you need to use etching primer. Plastidip might work.
