Opinion - Asus ROG STRIX Z270G GAMING - EKWB RGB

Nope not really, assuming your not going with the i3-7100 selected by default :) . Only thing would be if you go SLI and a lack of breathing room between two card's but otherwise will run great. Also you will not readily be able to use that Monoblock elsewhere, so if you upgrade, would not be able to transfer the block like you could with a sole CPU block, but otherwise they are great.

Lord no, I'd be putting a i5-7600K into it.

I'd considered the SLI factor, The Z270G is cheaper and supports SLI where as the Z270I is more expensive and doesn't support SLI.

I think it boils down too if its going into a ITX case (Z270G) or Micro ITX (Z270I), I think.

Yup there is a premium for Mini ITX. Either way both those boards are solid options with the full cover block's, just down to what size case you want I imagine.
