Buying a GTX 1080 today

I was going to wait , but the 1080s have just had a price drop , the amp extreme I got was ( when i looked ) £619 , so I couldnt realy not buy it @£539

I've been eyeing up the Aorus GeForce GTX 1080.

But there is a 11Gbps edition out there too. Just seems to have a slower core clock speed.

Don't know which one is faster.

Aorus gtx 1080 Xtreme out there for £540, will still boost to same or more then the older versioned Gaming Xtreme, also the heatsink is redesigned and uses the Ti design- plus 4 year UK Warranty/RMA and RGB logo helps :D

underwater hitting 2150 and pushing memory to 12Gbps , air hit 1960hz if I can recall

£619??? WTF. Did it not have an RRP of $599 Way back when it was first released?? Christ we are firmly taking it hard for GPUs right now.

no noise until i put the fans up to around 60+%

yeah I saw it at £619 and the other one was £629 lol

I should say though that I dont use the setting where the fans are not spinning until 50c ?...I have them set when idle at 25% .

I've ordered myself a Gigabyte 1080 G1, because I saw it around at just under £500 and didn't see prices dropping too far under that in the next 6 months.
