What watch do you wear?

I've been using a Seiko SNZG17K1 for the past 5 years, but in recent weeks I've been less than impressed by the lume, so I figured I'd change things up a bit. Managed to get an Orient Blue Ray (first version). I know there's a Ray II which is technically better, but for some reason I really like the second crown. Makes it less boring.

Do you guys insure your watches? I've been eyeing up getting something special for my 30th in a few weeks, and as coincidence would have it I've just been offered the opportunity for a custom limited edition Bremont through work, military watch, fully customised, for around 50% of the retail value, based on the MBIII. It's a nice looking piece and would have significance for me, but the idea of spending that scares me to be honest!

Mine are itemized for loss damage and theft at home or away through my home insurance.

The enormous value hit they take on the second hand market would be lessened by your discount. But if you weren't going to spend that much anyway I would suggest not - no money saved by getting money off something you were never going to buy!

What else takes your fancy and what's your budget?

yes, have policy that covers 40k unspecified watches up to 15k each

The EWC looks stunning after the service, was looking at selling but can't find anything I want that I can afford, then again if I wear it I am going to spoil the work :p

Had my Pam 351 serviced as I had cracked the screen and scratched the bezel. was 1100 inc postage. It stung but I got a new strap and it came back looking new.

Insurance not pay? , was it a new bezel too? PAM service is about 350 and would expect a crystal 2-300

hope its ok, mine was no issue, put claim in and they paid in days with no questions, a cracked screen and bezel can only be accidental damage so you should be fine

Mine was mechanical (dropped on tiled floor, genuinely) and they still didn't question it
