My brother is looking for a new GPU at around the £120 mark and was seeing if any of you fine lot had any recommendations? I'm so far out of the loop now I just curl up in the foetal position when I look at the shop.

used R9 290X/390X with custom cooling, not AIB

No, not 1080p gaming.

He plays Garrys Mod, CSGO, GTA5 in addition to others. Looking for a card which can handle new releases competently as well.

My mum is buying the card and she wouldn't be comfortable going used unfortunately. I have tried in earnest to correct this but adamant on buying new.

I think this AMD card is for mining, but the advert talks about esports and it has video outputs, so I'd stick with nvidia at this price bracket

A 4GB RX 560 or a 1050Ti will be perfect for that scenario.
