I miss the late 90s when I was at college. The clubs, the music.....not the clothes though! damn they were bad.

This got my thinking, I would love to go back and relive some of my past.

So, if you had a time machine and could relive a day from your past, which one would it be?

I'm not sure how good the human brain is for long term memories, but maybe in the future we could do this in a kind of VR setting.

Things like the first day you met your girlfriend/wife
Birth of a child
Epic night out
The day you joined OCUK ;-)
Maybe you made a really bad decision so for that day you get to change it

etc etc

Would have worked harder at school I think. Would have bought a flat when in first year at uni, back in 90's they were throwing mortgages at you, still can't believe it. Big mistake, thought I'd be responsible for once at that age and not take on the burden of paying a mortgage at 18. Would have got involved in more things, socially, got more skills and friends.

I don't know if this says something bad about me/mylife but I hate the idea of reliving my past. I didn't realise that until I saw your question. I thought it was going to be a pick a favourite time in history type question.

you can only relive one day, not a decade ;-)

I'd go bAck and explain to Hitler that invading Russia was bad and to take the UK first...

1000 years Reich

Relive one day from my past...no, I don't think I would. My life is better now than in my past.

Oh no, wait. My 5th birthday, when I got a birthday card from Uncle Bulgaria. That was awesome. I'd relive that.

I'd have a different answer if it was more than reliving a day. There are things I would change if I could. I'd have a different answer again if it was observing any time and place in the past, a different answer if I could interact with people without changing anything (i.e. they'd return to the time/place I took them from and remember nothing) and yet another different answer if I could change things (kill Oliver Cromwell, maybe).

More interesting question, if you could go back in TM for 5mins to anywhere in past what would you do.

That would almost certainly involve some kind of paradox though, so I avoided asking that

Like going back millions of years to find the very first cell and stamping on it

Well lets say you wanted to find out who your gf was cheating with or who really shot jfk or to meet Jesus etc

Spent a day on holiday in Florida watching F1, Indy 500, WRC & NASCAR best (holi)day ever!

Rest of the family went out for the day and left me on the couch. Still there when they got back.

If I am reading the OP right, we relive a day from our past and nothing we change affects the future?

Prob go back to when my Father and my cat were still alive and chill with them.

so your best holiday ever was just sitting watching TV? awesome life you must have.

As an avid Motorsport fan yes that was a great DAY all live on US TV and no jumping through hoops or subscriptions. I've had epic holidays but it doesn't fit the thread.
