Dahn sarf!
I'm looking to upgrade my rig to Ryzen. Any help appreciated.

I have HDD, 600W PSU and GFX

I'm currently torn between 1600 & 1600X.
1600X means I may need to find another cooler. I currently have a CM Seidon V2, but I can't find an AM4 bracket. CM don't have any. Another AIO would be nice as I like them. But open to traditional ideas. Or just go with the 1600 as it has a cooler.

RAM I only need 8GB. 2x4GB is fine. I was looking at 3200Mhz, Corsair Vengeance LPX.

System board. AB350M-HDV. Never had an Asrock before. But I beleive this will support the 3200Mhz RAM and I like the Idea of an M2 slot.

Case. I really like the Phanteks Eclipse P400 case. Not too fussed about a window, as it sits under my desk.

GFX. I currently have an Asus R9 280 Strix. Somewhere in the region of £180. Although it will be a couple of months before I upgrade this one.

1600 with stock cooler till you can get an am4 bracket for ur seidon, personally i would either upgrade your motherboard which has 4 dimm slots for ram or get 16gb.

Thanks, it was save me some cash to go with the 1600. Looks like it overclocks quite easily.
How about the AB350M - Pro 4 ? I was originally lookng at this one.

Corsair ram tends to be Hynix which is a lot harder to get working at 3200 on ryzen. Best to go for Samsung b die based ram which is a lot better with ryzen.
How do I tell? I have this list. There's a fair few Corsair in there.

The Asrock pro looks a good board but i hate the 2 year warranty period whlie most manufactrers do 3 years, matx board mite look a bit small in that case.

May go for the K4 version. It has more 4 pin fan headers. Which I'll need, if im using the stock coooler.
Just need to sort memory, as Corsair seems to be out of stock everywhere.

P.S. The Strix B350-F will work with Ryzen 5 out of the box. With other boards manufactured prior to Ryzen 5 it's currently a toss-up.

Thanks Danny. The goal posts keep moving.
I am ideally looking for a sub £100 board. I probably should have done a "spec me" thread, for a board and 3200Mhz RAM to go with a Ryzen 1600. Cheap as possible!
