Help me pick my new PC (Ryzen 7/Vega 64)

Well my trusty old PC finally died (the power supply) so rather than buy a new PSU to fix her it's time for a new one. The old one couldn't cope with 4K videos anyway, and I would like to edit my DJI Mavic videos & get back into PC FPS gaming.

I think I have settled on a AMD Ryzen 7 & Vega 64 graphics combo. I have been looking at the two following hardware options:

Option 1:

8Pack Xtreme X370 Asus Crosshair - AMD Ryzen 7 1700 @ 3.90GHz Overclocked Ryzen Bundle
Plus the Case, Graphics Card, SSD & PSU listed below in option2.

Total £1,509.96

or

Option 2:

Case: be quiet! Dark Base Pro 900 Full Tower Gaming Case – Orange
Motherboard: Asus ROG Crosshair VI Hero AMD X370 (Socket AM4) DDR4 ATX Motherboard
Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 1800X
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 PC4-19200 2400MHz
Graphics Card: AMD Vega 64 Liquid Cooled Card
CPU Cooler: be quiet! Silent Loop Superior Liquid CPU Cooler – 240mm
Solid State Drive: Samsung 500GB 850 EVO SSD 2.5" SATA
Power Supply: be quiet! DARK POWER PRO 11 850W Power Supply

This should come to a Grand Total of £1,568.93 from overclockers.co.uk excluding the as yet un-priced Vega card.

Can you see any issues for compatibility i.e. memory or power?

One think that did worry me was the price difference between Option 2 from overclockers.co.uk & another PC shop I wont name. It was over £130 for like for like components (I could treat myself to a new gaming keyboard for that) does overclockers.co.uk price match?

They have stated they do in the past. They also stated it will depend against which retailer. It would be better to ask about this in the Customer Service forum where someone with enough authority will get to see it, than phoning up, in this case.

OcUK have great prices for some items, but not Samsung SSDs (the regular ones, the M.2 prices aren't so bad). That's probably a big factor for the results you got after comparing.

A few suggestions:

Go with the R7 1700/X over the 1800X.

The BeQuiet power supplies are overpriced compared to other units such as the SuperFlower Leadex etc.

Go with faster Ram. A 2400MHz kit is too slow. Aim for 3000MHz - 3200MHz.

I would take a Gigabyte board over Asus as they have better warranty support.

The BeQuiet 900 is a nice case but it is a bit of a luxury imo. A Fractal Design R5 is cheaper and is built with silence in mind.

A good air cooler will be enough for Ryzen. Something like a Cryorig H5 Universal.

You know the Vega 64 has like a 400W + power draw right?
Do you REALLY want the equivalent of a toaster oven running in your computer and heating up your room? Do you want to pay high power bills?
Nvidia equivalent draws less power, doesn't require ridiculous AIO LC

Yep that is one of the reasons why i prefer nvidia over amd, the power draw.

No fanboyism from me.

Where are you getting that figure from ?

power draw itself is not such a big issue .. its been proven that its going to be just a few pounds difference.
but with a power draw comes another issue that is heat generated... that's a whole different story.
