i have an lg oled55c6v tv only month old, i also have a wife that complains the tv is too loud. My hearing is not that grand after 15 years in the steel industry and am not a lover of wearing my hearing aids at home while relaxing, am not totally deaf i can hear most things with ease however some ranges are harder to hear than others pair that with tinitus and you have me :)

so looking at the settings of the tv it has options for wired headphones and also bluetooth, wired headphones would not be convenient due to position of tv and having a wire all over the place. So i am wondering is there any device / dongle i could plug into the tv 3.5mm headphone socket that would output the sound to wireless headphones? or even better would bluetooth headphones work. the 2nd part of the question is would the tv output sound to both the headphones and its own internal speakers at the same time?

hope the above makes sense

cheers

Surround sound doesn't need to be loud. You could stick it in multi channel stereo and that would help with your hearing as you'd be getting the audio from all 5 speakers.

I'm fortunate that mine loves cinema, so we have plenty of kit and no complaints. :)

If surround is an issue an amp with front stereo and a centre speaker would give you clearer sound and the ability to adjust each channel to suit your own hearing.
I'm no expert but i hated the sound from my tv with the inbuilt speakers.
