That's why I'm not bothering. There just aren't enough games to warrant a purchase. Power is pointless when there's nothing to play on it (and before anybody starts: I KNOW it has games! But it lacks exclusives).
Well yes, but I could own the best, fastest car ever, but if there's no petrol in it, it's pointless. IMHO.

It's happened before, the thing to do is just put the order through with the code, if it works it'll add the correct amount to your account, by adding it to your account they have already accepted the price
Edit, it's Very after all, they seem to make mistakes by default, but I've always had the price honoured as soon as it's been applied to my account, worth a shot for the price imo

Was going to ask the same question. I was all ready to pre-order last night but the games just didn't sell it to me, not the exclusives atleast, but then there's the multiplatform games which will of course look and hopefully play stunning.
I'm not sure what to do, yes it's a very powerful system, but I'm sure the PS5 will be announced before it's release and I'm also sure it'll be even more powerful, and it'll have the exclusives that i prefer. Decisions decisions

It's not the games (or lack of) as there are plenty of multiplats I would be happy with but I'm in conflict about 30fps/60fps. It's not bothered me for the last 10 years. I loved playing on Xbox 360 and PS4 but these last few months, I just can't get it out of my head. If the X1X had a mandatory 60fps for all games, I'd be over it but as most games are still going to be 30fps, I have to go with a new PC instead.

The PS4 Pro has barely been out. Not a chance they'd announce the PS5 so soon. It would completely undermine the user base and make it completely irrelevant.
As for me I've pre-ordered for the 4k aspect, both games and video playback.
FYI - I just went in to my local Game to pre-order and it was surprisingly busy. I'm not sure what allocations will be like but the phone there didn't store ringing with people wanting to pre-order and I got there about 15 mins after opening and there was more people in the store than I normally see when I pop in at lunch for a nosey around.

You don't think they'll announce something close to November 7th to try and offset sales of the One X? I'm not so sure, announcing the PS5 and releasing it are two different things.
Yes I am well aware of that, but we are talking about consoles here, and the xbox situation is very different to buying a new graphics card.

Personally i'm ordering because Xbox is my primary platform and I want to play at the best visual fidelity possible. Plus, shiny.
I own a vanilla PS4 so I won't be migrating, i'll still use that for the exclusives.

I've pre-ordered as I like the Project Scorpio edition. Yes, many of the games I want/have I can also play on the PC, but I'm not carrying my rig up and down the stairs if I just want to play on the TV for a few hours. For me with the XBox Play Anywhere getting the game on both PC and XBox One has pushed me towards wanting one, although I was hoping more titles would have been announced/added to the list last night. Get the best of both worlds, PC for PC exclusives and performance, Scorpio for convenience.
I was hyped initially but now not so much. I'm just not using my xbox to play games on and haven't done so for about 6 months. So other than the initial 'ooh shiny' I think it would go unused quite quickly. I will keep an eye on it though.
