McDonalds workers due to strike for £10 an hour...

FLOOR MANAGER £9 still your point has no justification any manger role is the same and doesnt justify a 50p increase, do you know what they do? and does the person who quote saying he worked 13 years ago know? nope.

What point do you think I'm making other than pointing out that you didn't specify the 'manager' role that you were referring to (which you objectively didn't)?

if she thinks her role deserves better pay then why doesn't she apply for similar roles elsewhere?

or are they not better paid also? and therein should tell you that her role doesn't merit better pay

I know what I wrote thanks, perhaps you could try to be a bit more coherent when quoting me in future.

Well then you dont me need to refer to it then. I dont think you understand the meaning of coherent, but hey not my job. I will just ignore you, as you only seem to reply to cause an argument.

10-15 no need to be pedantic

Even that is pushing it and I am not being pedantic. When you state something and use that as context, of course I would take it literally wouldn't I? You purposely omitted her full manager title, beefed up how many people she were in charge of to make your point more valid, didn't answer when someone else asked you about what type of manager and now don't like it when you have been called up on it.

My Mrs is a manger in Mcdonalds she only gets an extra 50p an hour, i pay most the bills as she can barley afford half our bills and just having a child, she has to deal with about 30 staff and stress of all the complaints and management roles that come with it, shes on her feet all day and its a lot of work, Its unfair in my eyes i earn more sitting at a desk.

You could have simply explained why you thought my post was unjustified, I don't see why it was but I'd be happy to listen. Replying with "read what you wrote" after being asked a question isn't helpful and just generates more back and forth posting. I'm not trying to start an argument but if you're unwilling to engage and are going to make unwarranted accusations while quoting me then I'll reply.

she is applying for similar roles? i dont understand how thats relevant to the point of this thread? But ok. Your understanding of wages is if your paid the same its similar job, do you believe all min wage jobs are the same merit all the same wage? Ofcourse not. Big companys pay less to the majority of there jobs. Small companys/Family companys can pay way above the odds.

Im not a McDonalds Employee and never stated i am and to take everything everyone says as gospel is never good, im just relaying my point from a stressed out new mum who works a lot for not a lot.

my point is if you think you are worth more then go out and get a better paid job elsewhere.

if you can't then it sort of proves you aren't worth any more than what you're on now.

How else were we supposed to take it? You stated 30 people, you stated 50p an hour more??

No, you purposely omitted her full manager title, beefed up how many people she were in charge of, didn't answer when someone else asked you about what type of manager she was, all to try and make your point more valid and now don't like it when you have been called up on it.

EDITED for my rubbish grammar :)

WRONG. As stated i said she was a manger. I never once said "full manager" Never read anything after "full manager" as waste of time.

He didn't state you said she was a "full manager" he said you failed to state her full manager title i.e "floor manager" rather than just "manager".

I'd stop now as you seem to be taking this personally and looking a bit daft.

Not sure 'floor manager' still exists as a position. My son's gone crew>crew trainer>shift manager, with various performance related pay increases on the way.He started at 18 on min wage + 10p an hour, and is now on £9.10 an hour at 20.
He could have gone to uni like most of his friends, but he decided to go to work instead, and now instead of building up a large student debt, he's building up a large bank balance (just off 20k in Santander last time he showed me...)
Not bad for a 'McJob'.
