Not sure 'floor manager' still exists as a position. My son's gone crew>crew trainer>shift manager, with various performance related pay increases on the way.He started at 18 on min wage + 10p an hour, and is now on £9.10 an hour at 20.
He could have gone to uni like most of his friends, but he decided to go to work instead, and now instead of building up a large student debt, he's building up a large bank balance (just off 20k in Santander last time he showed me...)
Not bad for a 'McJob'.
Not at all, your just pedantic. As ive stated what manager she is.
How am I being pedantic when that is what you told us??? YOU stated that in your original post, how were we supposed to know that you didn't actually mean 30, but not until AFTER you told us she were a floor manager, you changed it 10/15. Like I say, you were just making stuff up to make your point...
Not at all, i dont know how many EXACTLY she manages. Also stated im not sure what manager she is. But still.. again again again you carry on. Ignored

I find it strange you know almost nothing about your wifes job, everyone I know who's married could give a solid description of their partners role and responsibilities.
My ex worked as a housekeeper for a billionaire elderly couple in the USA.Btw, catering is terribly paid so I wouldn't be confident about them getting what they want. For context, you get eg. senior chef de parties on something like £8.60/hour in the regions. That's proper chefs with a decade of experience. And that can easily be with split shifts/really late finishes/etc.
Not married, so there goes that assumption. Also what has that got to do with anything to do with the thread?

Well, it is a bit odd you know so little about your partners job when questioned on the details, after initially using specific details of it as part of the discussion.
You did say "My Mrs" which ok, can be a generic saying for partner, but it's understandable why we thought she was your wife

I find it amazing everyone instead of saying anything constructive of relating to the thread itself just need to dig for detail about what i said when ive stated i dont know, just kind of immature in my opinion.
It was a very specific discussion on pay rates and responsibilities within McDonald's and the wider job market and what roles command what pay, so accuracy was important when discussing details.
There is quite a difference between a branch manager in charge of 30 staff and a shift manager in charge of 10 staff for example.
So it wasn't a personal attack when you were being questioned, just wanting to know the right information and you did seem to get a bit over defensive in your replies![]()
The major problem here is nobody should be applying for a burger flipping job expecting a reasonable income.
It's not a career (unless you join straight from school and still live with folks and work your way up)
It's a pocket money job, my son did it at Burger King, rubbish hours, rubbish pay, but it paid for his car over the summer and gave him a bit of cash for Uni.
That's all they are.
