I'd phone work to tell them I won't be I'm tonight, and I won't be back.
Phone a financial advisor and arrange an appointment to see them.
Start looking at houses online, and maybe arrange a few viewings.
Phone my sister, and tell her to get her arse down here when she finishes work.
Phone my aunt and invite her to dinner.
Phone my mumeans step dad and see if they're available for dinner tonight too.
Have dinner with my loved ones, and make plans for the future. Realistically my parents and aunt don't need anything but we might have a nice holiday. My sister would probably get a house and car.
Go home and cuddle my dogs.
Buy a kayak and go kayaking tomorrow morning (its 11.30 here so I'd have time)
 
I wouldn't make any immediate changes. I go and see my bosses boss and tell him because I have no idea how I'll behave but I'm professional enough that someone needs to understand what's going on. I'd keep working as I have commitments to keep whilst I work out what I'm going to do. I may not quit my job but I might seek to move to a more fulfilling role and maybe go shift so I could have more down time. Ultimately I'd probably quit but wouldn't rush to it.

Definitely go out for a nice meal, tell my Mom and the in-laws but take time to work out how our lives are going to change.
 
I would carry on as normal for a while, get a nicer car. Start not caring in work, sit at my desk and play on the Internet until some one asks what I'm doing. Just reply "nothing" and see what I can get away with and for how long. That would keep me amused for a good while.
 
I have thought about this for a long time and my only course of action would be to go online and get a list of all the best nursing homes and book myself a place for the future - £10m would outlast me - I could never spend it on things I could use on a regular basis - I down sized to a small bungalow because a big house was pain to keep up - even climbing stairs is a pain.

I would buy a Merc van with blacked out windows.-- AMG of course. :)

The only problem with these sort of threads is tomorrow I would want something completely different :D

Actually i agree, not the full 10m. I would probably be quite boring and just buy a house for around 500k near where i live now (Bexley, Kent) and then just live a nice quiet life of luxury, like a modern day Bilbo Baggins. I would retire aged 28 , marvellous.
 
Probably have a cigarette then have a massive dump, some breakfast then go back to sleep for a few hrs.

When I wake up, I'd probably just get on with my life. Obviously I'd be rich as hell but in the first 24hrs I wouldn't really do much.

Oh and not forgetting the obligatory phone call to work and letting them know I'm now very rich and won't be coming to work for quite some time, if ever lol.
 
Quiet word with my boss to explain that I wont be in (and to give him a vague idea as to why), but will still be available if they really need me.
Head out (via taxi) for a slap up meal with the other half at our favourite steakhouse.
Figure out what on earth we want to do with our lives, as something like that changes EVERYTHING. Would need to figure out what you want your legacy to be, and what you want to do with the rest of your life... :)

I know someone that did this when they won 500k on the lottery.
 
Leave a note for the wife and kids saying that ive left them and im currently living life to the max without them holding me back. Id obviously leave them a mill so that they wouldnt come after me.

Id be dead within a year due to a cocaine overdose.
