Opps I see that now. Well hopefully my advice comes in handy once he gets his code because it is a faff to actually get it.Kurgen is asking how you get the code. I assume that OcUK (or other participating retailers) would provide the code with the purchase. However, I'm lead to believe there are no more codes left.
It's such a faff to install.
Once you have the code, you have to login to GeForce experience (download it AND create an account) - Not happy about that
Then you go to account, redeem and put in your code.
The you have to link your steam and nvidia account - Not happy about that.
Then eventually you will see the game in your steam library and just hit download.
Seems just a massive data grab on Nvidias behalf. Never had to jump through those hoops with an AMD free game.
Would be a lot more user friendly if they just gave us a steam code no?I really don't see the big deal- but obviously it's up to you and you're free to decide. With every AMD offer I've always had to register and create an AMD account for it, then I bought a second AMD card 6 months later, I had to create a second account as it said I'd already exceeded my number of game redemptions on the original account, even though it was a different promotion. Then when actually trying to get the key, AMD told me that they didn't have any more keys for the headline game (Star Citizen), so they offered me some other rubbish instead. As we all know, nothing is for free and I personally don't care what Nvidia do with the tiny amount of anonymous user data they can gather.

Thats my point exactly. It's the forcing of installing GeForce experience which in turn forced full registration with Nvidia. From the sound of it the worst part of the process is being forced to install a piece of software that you wouldn't actually want. Jumping through a few registration hoops might be expected, but personally I don't really want software bloat.

Yes it only took 2 mins but I really begrudge having extra software and data capture.
