Weight loss update.

That great feeling when you buy a new coat that has no x in front of the size. Been a while since I have been in a large.

Blimey, I thought I was doing well having lost just over 2st over the past 3 months. Had to due to the pressure on my knees and the pain due to bone gap narrowing, a knackered foot and mildly seized pelvic joint.
Well done and keep it up mate, you won't regret it the older you get.

Wow, those shoes are bright! It looks like your dog is surprised at how red they are, although that can't be true because dogs can't see red.

In a similar vein, I was pleased when I measured my waist and it was under 40 inches. Only by 1/8th of an inch but 30s, woo! I danced. Badly.

That's the truth. I got rid of ~26Kg while doing some physio and some strength building and it made a world of difference to my damaged knee. It hurts far less and today I wondered why I felt particularly good and realised I felt no pain at all in my knee for the first time in years. I squatted, stood up and it hardly hurt at all. Bizarre. A few years back I had trouble with stairs and the pain from squatting would make me queasy.

I have to hunch a lot at work. We're flunkeys, so we're forced to work standing even whe using things designed to be used while seated in order to hurt and harm us so the pain and chronic medical problems remind us of our inferior status. An ugly custom, but that's how it is in this country. I've got back into training and I've added exercises for my neck muscles this time and it really makes a difference. Maybe I'll stop again. It's very easy to come home after a couple of 13 hours shifts and not exercise and get out of the habit. But maybe I'll keep it up this time. I've come to the conclusion that the common idea that physical strength doesn't really matter nowadays due to modern technology is just plain wrong. It does matter.

Well done mate )

Not had a bad run myself, as of last Saturday have manged 84lbs / 6 stone since the beginning of Dec last year. 6ft ish, 20 stone 3 to 14 stone 3.

Am late forties , so the time had clearly come to make some pretty drastic changes to my diet and exercise ( or lack of ) . Dropped about 68lbs fairly consistent dieting till mid May and another stone or so since then. Good mix of weights and cardio days have really helped burn extra calories.

Obviously feel a lot better although my knees and various old man aches, niggles and minor injuries might disagree, a few more pounds to go yet )

Well little update again. It is 6 days till I have been on my healthy eating plan 1 year and I set myself a goal of 13 stone loss in the year. I hit my goal this morning so very happy with that. 28st 3lb down to 15st 3lb. Going to keep plodding along and see what the next few months bring.

Just had shoulder surgery for a I'm doing issue and the surgeon said you have proberly added 10 years plus to your life. Wakes you up a bit when you hear that.

Not much movement in the last week or so. Decided to trial having the weekends off plan and trying to maintain through the week. Seems to be working okay. Currently 14.12 after putting on 5lb over the weekend bit lost it by today.
