Weight loss update.

Also well done! I've been on the old dieting again, I wasn't particularly obese, but could feel that I've put on a few lbs since my 20's so fancied getting back on the wagon again.

Well done. :)

Personally I could stand to lose some as well. Everything fine apart from stomach...

I'm around 90kg ATM at 190cm : ((

I hear you on the stomach thing. It seems like all of my excess fat is on my stomach. I'm 5'11" and around 80Kg. I worked it down from 107Kg. I've got my waist down to 40.5 inches, which is much less bad than the 46 inches it was. It looks smaller because I've added some muscle to my upper body, but it's still a health risk. Worst place to have excess fat, as a general rule. Besides, it looks and feels bad and it's inconvenient for things like keeping trousers on. A sex change would help with fat distribution, but that's not really my cup of tea :) I've started regular exercise again after getting out of the habit and I've got some new drugs for a chronic medical problem that saps my energy, so I think some more success should be forthcoming. I'd like to get it down to 36 inches.

Well, that's a mess of metric and imperial. I switched to metric for weight due to the number of times I've been to various medical places for testing but for some reason I haven't switched to metric for sizes.

I have to tell people what I weigh in stones lbs and kilos as I work with people who use all 3. Always fun working it out

Both me and my wife are currently dieting ! I have never had to diet in my life but at 41 years old eating whatever I want is no longer an option :D

We eat healthier than we did, cut out most of the rubbish plus exercise but still have the occasional treat.

For myself it is only my fat stomach, 3 inches lost from my waist and maybe aim for another 2-3 depending on how I feel. A few bumps along the way with a bad back flaring up but its basically a matter of cutting down how many calories you eat. Everything else is in your head.

hmm having had a gander, it seems that it does genetically sit on blokes different from woman.. (uh oh did I trigger someone?). My arms are not particularly big (long term goal would be 16" arms but that's a way of yet!), chest is only 42-43" with little fat. Legs you can clearly see muscle only. Just the damn stomach region.

I'm going to go on a calorie deficit for a couple months, and then once the fat is lost (interestingly enough doesn't seem to be a lot of "surface" fat, but deeper down?) start building myself up.

So hard to watch the calories. I'm down to 1,600 a day at the moment which is suprisingly hard to follow... :(

I'm tummy and hips. Well muscled legs, big chest and slightly mutant shoulders.

We sound like proper women. Lol.

I put my brother on Huel and he trains with me twice a week.

Good results in 6 weeks, hope he keeps it up.

Huel's good for calorie control because it's a balanced diet, you know what you're getting and can easily vary how much. I question the wisdom of giving a food product a name like someone vomiting, though :)

I'm happy with my legs, which are big and muscular and my arse, which is small and muscular. I usually walk about 5 miles a day and I've expanded my physio for my damaged knee into a more overall leg training. I have to be careful about injury because I've become used to pain over the years. I could easily overdo my knee. Some exercises are out of the question, but there are leg exercises I can do. I can work around the knee problem. I'm getting some bulk on my upper body, but there's a bit of fat on my chest which is obscuring the muscle underneath. Not so good. My arms are slow going. Little fat, but not much muscle either. But my abdomen is crap. All my excess fat goes there like it's a holiday resort.

I'm finding pushups the most effective exercise overall. £5 for a pair of u-shaped bars, a bit of floor space and you're good to go any time.

I train from home but joined Edinburgh Leisure last week. When I'm up North the big hills and mountains are my training ground. I'll need to get some decent gym clobber as I'll look like I've raided my dads bottoms drawer.

I'll be gym training with my mate who's a lot fitter than I am, my brother is also going and he'll need to be broken in gently, been taking him up mountain walks but nothing too serious yet...... His GF of 5 years broke up with him earlier this year so he's fragile right now as he's taken it badly. Our plan is to get him fit by April next year so he'll be able to ditch the black t-shirts and be ready for summer. He's got quite a belly on him, couldn't believe the amount of coke he drank a day, well over 2 litres along with crisps, his daily visit to Greggs and carry outs

Belly fat is a nightmare, will need to get those u-shaped bars.

I love Huel, even the lumps :D

They're a bit more expensive than when I bought them...the cheapest I could find now is £6!

Those look flimsy, but they're probably fine. Mine have a slight angle on the grip section rather than being parallel to the floor. I find that better. They're so much better for push-ups than just using your hands that I'd pay £50 for them if I had to.

A word of warning - don't do what I did at first and put them much too far apart. If you have them much too far apart you'll be pushing them sideways too much during a pushup and might push them over, which will dump you face down into the floor. I hurt my shoulder doing that. A daft thing to do.

I just mixed it in a cup with a fork, so I know all about the lumps :)

I went a week or so on Huel and water and nothing else at all. I felt better for it and not at all hungry, but I craved solid food for no practical reason. I should probably get some more, at least as daily breakfast.

Edit figured it out.

I will find how to put the pics in properly one day. Pic if it works is me shooting the same place a year apart.

That's a very striking difference. The second picture is far clearer - camera technology has improved dramatically :)

Seriously, though, that's an impressive achievement.

Shedder, amazing change, well done!
That video's great too, shows how crucial the right support is.

Well little milestone again yesterday hit my 12 and a half stone loss. And lost another lb this morning so 12 stone 8. Well on the way to my 13 stone loss now
