Installing Isolation valve for water/ice dispenser

Yes i fyou look closely there is an arrow on the body of the one I linked. The arrow obviously shows water direction. One end has a compression fitting that you connect to your copper, the other is a washing machine size connection.
There are push fit versions of the same thing.

What you linked already assumes a fitting there and i think 22mm is wrong size

So basically one side is bigger than the other? Think this one will work.

If yours is silver it has more features lol

i think it should.

They are supposed to connect to a std water outlet, which is an old fashioned 3/4"
The normal copper pipe is 15mm, the old "large" copper pipe was 22mm but thats pretty rare to see now.

If you hold on until tonight I will check it all and update tomorrow

Oh for google ;)

check valve
noun
  1. a valve that closes to prevent backward flow of liquid.
Stops contamination of water supply in theory

If you look at this one you can see the small plastic bit inserted in flow

Mine's got external filter, only thing I did was put a valve with a tap on in place, as you need to isolate it every 6 months to change filter.

I wouldn't be fussed about it personally, I think technically you should have them but don't see how they get away with selling them without if its a hard and fast rule.
WRAS is the relevant thing to search.

thanks the connector appears to be the right one :)

it is working now but the pressure when getting water out is not that fast. guess this is normal.

does it matter if the plastic water wire behind fridge is coiled up? I left it coiled up.

checked for you and its deffo 3/4" connector that you need to connect the long tube. There is a brass connector in there that reduces from the 3/4" to what looks like about 6mm, ie the internal hose dimension

Will be fitting mine this weekend so will let you know

Oh, dont forget the washer that is also in the fitting kit that you need to insert in the connector just like a washing machine connection, mine was loose in the bag and I have read reports of people saying this joint leaks (seems they missed the washer)

Oh just noticed you posted after I posted

Its going through a very small tube, do you mean filling a glass from the tank or refilling the tank?

I think your supposed to cut the hose to a sensible length but wont make much diff to pressure.

assuming its the same as mine, the brass bit that samsung supplied that you connected to the new valve you installed should have the washer inside it
Did you put ptfe tape on that as well? may explain why its not leaking

yes that's the problem I had
everything was ok but it leaked on the brass bit so I taped it right up
no point putting the washer in now imo. they never mentioned that in the guide unless i missed it
