What happened to all the good old OcUK Lynching and Permabanning?

Ok ok so I don't come on here as actively as I used to and may have missed it but what happened? It's all so sedate, there hasn't been a good Lynching and Permabanning effort for years. Used to be a regular feature and made for some great entertainment.

Have we just lost the outspoken types or is everyone too accepting and don't want to offend, or even worse.......sad times :/

It was more than just the trolling, people with multiple accounts who used to answer their own threads etc etc, plus members who went to great lengths to get others caught out.

Some get away with murder and some don't, there are plenty I would like to see gone hopefully the day will come or in the end they just get blanked with their drivel.

Things have really flatlined over the last year or two.

Threads in GD are usually full of resident experts arguing page after page the same point over and over, I've done it myself.

There's a select few funny/interesting posters still here but their posts are drowned out by the constant one upping/autism.

In my experience it's usually the right wing nutters who go running to mummy for infractions to be dished out...

Maybe they introduced shadowbanning in the latest forum update and we don't see the drivel :eek:

Yea, all the mad, downright crazy, bizarre, drunk threads have gone.

OCUK has cleaned up other than the odd "I am not a racist but...." threads.

They moved ownership from Spie and the old regime, and slowly but surely adapted away from his old/bad racist ways, he's still a millionaire though, but don't envy him one bit, Overclockers as a company to actually deal with and buy from are in a much better place now.

I haven't posted in FCD since... let me check...

4 times in the past year. Twice to point out flaws in the swearing filter, once to ask why I had been banned (turned out it was for swearing, when I deliberately swore to point out that the swearing filter didn't work), and once to ask where the Member's Market had gone when everything went to pieces in the recent forum upgrade.

So, um, yeah, it was totally me that used to snitch on you.

The mods were allowed to start banning certain members after Spie sold the company. Before then, certain forum members were allowed to get away with open racism and other things.
