12-year-old boy who transitioned to female changes his mind two years later

Do parents not remember that growing up is pretty hard and most teenagers go through all sorts of mental "distress"? Its just part of growing up... not cause for extreme action!
 
How can any medical professional possibly think that a decision about that can be made properly until they have finished puberty? It seams fair enough to me that you might not feel like a man until you actually become one.

His body stopped producing testosterone and male puberty was suspended in favour of artificial female puberty.

Breast fat will diminish but he might be left with gynecomastia.

After stopping he will not go through male puberty properly. If his testosterone rebounds (assuming he didn't have the surgery) it won't rebound to the level it would have been naturally, therefore leaving him with weaker sexual dimorphism (narrow shoulders, smaller penis etc...).

Estrogen also causes the bones to fuse so he may have stunted his growth.

He is likely to be hit by a major depression after stopping - not just from depriving his brain of the estrogen it's now used to but because of low natural testosterone.

His doctor will need to put him on clomid/tamoxifen/HCG to get his testicles producing testosterone again, or put him on testosterone therapy which will give him a decent puberty but he may be on it for life.

If you want your kid to be special invest in them, i.e. get them music lessons or additional classes outside of school.

People want their kids to be unique and special without putting in the leg work.

Having a teacher as a wife some kids have every issue under the sun .. if its got a name a kids got it
 
The most kids that young should be allowed is puberty delaying treatment IMO until they're old enough to make a rational decision.

I don't know what the medical ramifications are but I hear that's a thing.
 
Was only a matter of time before something like this happened.
It's just too young to know yourself, even at 18, you're still a pup.

The problem with waiting is that post-puberty bodies are much harder to transition, and ever harder to transition well. For people who are transgender early intervention is a lifelong benefit. The problem is that many children go through a stage, as this boy did, of feeling uncomfortable in their body without it being a lasting state. How do you tell the difference? What proportion of children are one, or the other? (Evidence from the before sex assignment therapy was possible suggests the majority of children who express gender disphoria grow out of it, often turning out to be homosexual). It's a difficult problem.

Parents pushing this ridiculous gender crap onto their kids should be reported for child abuse

Reminds me of a case a while back where the child was begging for a sex change, wearing dresses and make up etc.
Parents had split up and child living with mother, American social services transferred child to father and suddenly the child wants to play football and starts wearing boys clothes.
Turns out mother dearest was pressuring the kid to be a girl and he was only doing it to please her.


At 12 I had no idea about sex or genders I just wanted to play on my bike and fish the local stream for sticklebacks. Not sure how you can ask a child to make a life altering decision like that.
 
A few weeks back on Twitter there was some hashtag about being gay and proud. I clicked it and was amazed how many kids were there, in highly sexualised poses proudly proclaiming their outness/gayness etc. I have zero issue with being gay, personal choice and all power to you. I have a massive issue with the sexualisation of children and the fact that even though they all think they are adult at 12, they aren't, they are kids. Treat them as such because you know what, even though the PC illuminati will take massive pride from such freedom it is still kids being kids and I suspect the vast majority of the various hash tag girls will hook up with boys and vice versa. That's fine but when people seek to make a 10 year old, old enough to make such a call it's pathetic.

Hmmm. Isn't that like year 8? Isn't that more the sort of time you want to get fags and booze and start setting fire to things and such? Perhaps we had different upbringings lol.

I have no doubt that some people on Twitter are trying out gay for the giggles and follows or what have you but it isn’t a choice for the vast majority of homosexuals.
