This is giving me a bad headache so I bought a bunch of oven hoods with the intent to refund some and now I'm left with not only a headache but boxes everywhere can barely move

Hood 1 (Due to the bulk inside the chimney I can only have it on recirculate):

Hood 2 (Slimmer than above but the chimney will have a PVC pipe sticking out to the right for ventilation):

Hood 3 (to combine with additional unit but I don't like how much it sticks out):

What do you guys thing? May be selling the house so want something to look nice. Need to get this done fast so I can move on to choose an oven! Thanks.

Surely it has to be #2? The first could be said to be more aesthetic pleasing, but has restrictions on its airflow. The last one is just ugly and complete out of keeping with the decor.

Those wall units look way too close together to be compliant with any hob being put below it.

There is usually a gap either side of the extractor and most hobs require a minimum of 50mm gap either side.

You did not say what the decibel level was from the options, that is a major criteria for me, if you want to conduct a conversation or listen to radio whilst you cook.

I tested the first 2 and the first one was the quietest. Second one is rated 62db and emitted a buzzing noise (internal vibration). First has better quality lights and higher extraction volume per hr.

Nah so long as the wall units are >460mm off the worktop the 50mm gap can be ignored - otherwise those integrated hoods which screw into wall units on either side wouldn't be around anymore.

My wall units are 530mm off the wortop - starting to think I put them too high.

I'm figuring out ways to get the first extractor in with a duct... if I put the rectangular duct sideways through the top of the rightmost wall unit there might be enough space to connect

Single biggest thing I look at in an extractor is how well it sucks the air out from the hob, the one I have is rubbish, I regularly have to clean around my hob area because of atomised oil ending up all over the place.

My parents is brilliant, everything is sucked up there when it's on full tilt!
