**** The Official Google Nexus 6P Thread ****

My newly replaced battery that is nearing a month old hovers between 99 - 101% on AccuBattery. No battery or shutdown issues so far, though I have had 3x companies who I've called saying that my voice seems very distant. Other folks who I've talked to say my voice is perfectly fine so I've not sure what to make of that just yet.
i have the exact same issue with the voice. i use bt headsets most of the time so barely have to deal with it, but if i'm not with the headset people say it's so hard to hear me. try putting to loudspeaker and turning them right down and they will hear you perfectly fine i bet.

i need to get mine off for repairs as that, plus the battery, making this phone too faulty now to sell on when i get my next phone

Since the 6P's noise cancelling mic (one of 3) is located on the daughterboard that has the USB-C connector I keep thinking that perhaps I may have damaged it whilst prying the phone open for it's recent battery change...I'm not sure what to think about it. Since mentioning the mic issues I've had no other complaints, other than when I rang British Gas, and a recruitment company.

Do let us know how you get on. I am tempted by O but fear the device getting slower as a result i.e fingerprint unlocking.

Took 5 mins to update, just shy of 1GB download. So far seems good, it's no slower, boots faster. Feels a little sharper to use but that could just be me, but mine unlocks instantly using my finger. Not checked out any new features as I'm at work but as far as updating and general use it's the same if not a little better.

My 6P has started suffering the dreaded early shut down issue over the last few days, real PITA. Died yesterday, plugged it in, powered it up, battery at 58%.
Already had it repaired under warranty a few months back after suffering the boot loop issue. Last Huawei phone I buy.
Got to take my daughter to Leeds uni on Saturday so will be relying on it as a Sat Nav, here's hoping....

Anyone know if you can remove the left hand Google home screen with the weather and news cards?

How do you disable notifications for apps. accubattery started showing a notification after the update, couldnt get rid of it so deleted the app. What happened to hold, and block notifications.

I chose not to install it for now. Seems Google have made the notifications system overly complex for whatever reason. I'll wait until I read more reviews as I need a working phone without issues at the moment.

It appears it's not an app notification but android telling me it's running in the back ground. You can silence it for 2 hours then it pops back up.

AdClear was just munching battery for me, so I've binned it for now. See if battery improves and then see what I can use after that (don't want to root, so there won't be many options I guess).

Guys in the states are being given pixel xl's as replacements for the battery issue affected 6p's.

No such luck here though!
Just noticed this on Reddit (/r/android and nexus6p). But then noticed a small thread that UK folks are still getting refurbished 6Ps... Aww, I have a 6P lying around as well.
