Stupid Cars...

Well for the year or so, it's started to get very temperamental.

It randomly *coughs* sometimes, it's gone into limp mode on a few occasions. Cruise control is like a woman, like a dream some days nightmare on others

I've had it into garage a few times now and they can see the faults, so keeps finding Cylinder 4 Open/Closed/ Circuit, however once the fault code is cleared go on a test drive everything appears normal until it happens again.

Cruise Control, turn on to standby and work some days and then others wont turn on at all or it will go onto standby and then turn off when try set speed.
 
Do you have anyone with a diagnostics adapter?
Limp mode can be reasonably easy to diagnose with the codes...anything on the dash?
 
I've had it in the garage a few times, and once the faults are cleared they don't come back on so they can't actually find what caused the fault in the first place, it comes up on the dash Engine Malfunction, but when turn car off and on it goes away for a week, a month, however long it feels like it before it decides to play up again
 
So the garage is clearing the code and handing the car back without actually doing further diagnostics because it's fine on the test drive? Sounds like a garage issue and it would be in better hands somewhere else.

Yeah exactly, however its been to 3 totally separate garages now and all basically said the same
