Anyone seen this? Hopefully not against the rules to post kickstarter links?

Always wanted a pillow that stays cool for those hot summer nights, but this looks ridiculous to me. Imagine having that ridiculous cooler/pump sitting on your bedside table. They say it's quiet but I have an AIO cooler in my PC and I can hear than when not gaming, let alone in a completely silent bedroom at night.

$400 as well!

Is that the best quality gif they could create?

Why does anyone need a water-cooled pillow? Just get a Chinese Pillow:

Or even a sauna pillow:

Nice, cool blocks of wood that will never get hot or damp and will last your whole life.

Just don't get a Japanese pillow. :(

If they can get it near silent, I could definitely go for one of these. A cool pillow is one of those simple pleasures.

i go thru about 12 pillows a yr so that would last 20 mins .. they all seem to deflate and die .. heavy head a guess

Wait until Khemist hears about it, he will be buying pointless tubes and fiittings every five minutes to see what sleeping patterns he can come up with.

There was something not long ago called "Chillow". I was interested in it, but sadly I missed the boat as their web site now says this:

Any other alternatives that I can go for (electric or non-electric)? I think the Kickstarter will be too much for me, especially if it's in dollars. Exchange rate and being stung for customs etc.

This is a stupid idea as it will simply, assuming effective cooling occurs, result in condensation and a damp pillow/bedding. Especially on hot evenings/nights.

It's also solving a problem that doesn't exist. Very hot countries where people could afford or would chose to buy this have cooler properties by design or air con anyway.

In the uk, a fan by the bed is the cost effective and even with cheap fans, quiet solution

Why would there be condensation? It's just keeping it cooler, it's not keeping your pillow at fridge temp.

Not always. I get the night sweats, often leaving my pillow damp where my head has been. That's even when using a fan. What I actually need, is something cool to put my head on. It doesn't have to be quiet though because I'm hard of hearing. So I'm after ideas like the Chillow but they're not around any more.

Sounds like you have:

1. A room that's too warm.
2. A bed that's too warm.
3. Clothing on that's too warm.
4. A combination of all 3.

Change your environment, open a window etc. No need to be roasting in bed especially in the UK.
