So looking at Corollas T Sports, what would be a good price for this one? It looks tidy, I'm going to see it tomorrow.

I was thinking of trying to get it for 1500 as its not a facelifted model, saw a nice red example 05 plate with 58k miles go for 2300. I was in search for a celica T Sport along with other cars, but they seem to be rare and the money people want for a non-abused example is ridiculous. :eek:

Who in their right mind would go and see a car advertised like that? Have you had some meaningful conversation with the seller?
It's not too far away... but good point, compared to my ad when I was selling my car or bike it's really short. Seems a bit expensive, I think @Acme said around 2-2.2k for a 05 plate is good.

It's around 20 miles away from my place.

@Acme

Though to be honest he'd probably not even go and see it, just buy it blind :p
I would go and see it lol... what someone writes could be totally different to what the car looks like. I learned that when I was looking for a car, 2 years ago. I hate car shopping when something good comes up for a normal price it goes the same day. :o

Edit: Or did you mean Acme and not Me? :p haha :D

Are u trolling OP? You started a thread about a year ago asking should u get a 1.6 Civic or Focus as your first car etc then didn't buy anything after lots of helpful advice from members then you spring back up asking about a Modified Lexus IS and Corolla T Sport within the space of a week which would both cost more than the car is worth to insure. How can u go from supposedly wanting a Lexus to now wanting a hot hatch?

Insurance is 1500 for a Corolla T Sport, Civic is 1300. 80bhp more for 200 quid isn't much, is it?

I did have a Civic 1.6 sport, but wanted a bike and whilst at college, I couldn't afford both with my part-time job. BTW It was 2 years ago, I asked this... I'm surprised you remembered. :p

Prices for these have been going up recently for some reason. I'd want to pay more like 1250 for that. 1500 if it's mint mint.

I don't like pre facelift ones.

Post face lift all the way. It's almost 8/10ths civic type r performance for 6/10 the costs. Insurance prove is low bit these are good cars.

I've owned a corolla t sport and a Celica GT t sport special edition for 3 years each enjoyed them.

10/10ths of the performance flat out in a straight line, 7/10ths for in gear acceleration, 4/10ths in the corners. :p

EP3 has no creature comforts, Clio has a **** interior and dodgy electrics as well as a flat spot, Focus ST has awful fuel economy and a risk of cylinder liners cracking, MPS has the timing chain issue as well as torque steer, etc.
