Guys looking for a bit of help here, my father is in hospital.
Tomorrow the all Ireland GAA final is on, usually you'd just switch over to the RTE stations that we can pickup through a standard roof aerial.
Hospital has no TVs on the ward, so he can't watch it by that method.
As we're in Norn Iron, the RTE player app won't work for live broadcasts as it reads you as out of the country (ROI).
The game is also being shown on sky sports arena, and my understanding is through his BT at home, he has subscribed to this previously, and the sub is still active.
What viewing options might we have?
I can bring ipad or small laptop and there is apparently Wi-Fi present in the hospital, this remains untested, I will do so tonight.
I can see a daily sub to NOW Tv should show it if sky sports arena shows it? Is this correct?
If I buy a pass can I install a now tv app on an ipad and view using that?
Is there anyway to watch through his already paid for arena sub on BT spots but not using the BT vision box?
Can ipads use VPN stuff to pretend they are in the ROI, and watch using RTE player?
Anyone know how to walk me through this?
It would really mean a great deal to a man who has just suffered a stroke.
-edit, I might have made a mistake, and it is possible the sky thing he bought through BT is actually sky sports main event, rather than sky sports arena, I don't know if arena is available on NOWTV :/ Bit hard to work out.
