I use mail.com for that. Allows you to have 10 other emails, all of which all go to the same inbox. Saves me ever having to use my personal address for anything other then correspondence with friends/family.

May be down for another 24 hours yet. I've been trying to send my invoices to the agency i'm with so i can get paid! Finally had to launch gmail instead.

I thought hotmail was just for spam these days. I think some ISPs even block it by default on their mail servers

Hotmail working for me - I've had a few instances of "unable to retrieve your details" errors when trying to login over the last couple of days but most of the time it is working for me.

It never fails to amaze me how much crap gets through Hotmail's filters. Just the other day I had to dig something out of my ancient Hotmail account. Turns out I've won hundreds of lotteries, loads of rich dead people have pegged and need my assistance, etc. Can't remember the last time I had a spammy email in Gmail.

Well yeah, it's pretty easy for them to filter out spam when they're parsing every one of your emails.
