I don't think you can go for a day. It's takes ages to drive there so you might spend 2-3 days there. Also at 10mins a lap learning the track will take ages no matter how Many times we run through it on project cars.

There is a guy with a golf gti who goes every now and then and he does a great writeup on it of you can find his thread

Weekender it. Need to find out if there is a smoke limit for devil fuelled cars lol

£500 LS 400 and £500 in a 200 shot of nitrous would do the trick

The trick to throwing lots of nitrous at something is choosing something with a known strong engine.

Toyota V8s are one of the most overengineered engine fitted to something you can buy for peanuts in the last 25 years

You're e right, exchange rates were a lot more favorable last time I looked at nitrous kits

Edit: actually you can get a basic 150bhp kit for $450 so just about doable
 
£500 seems the number.

I'd be in, but would prefer a track event over a drag run, but will go with the faves. Off to do a search right now :)
 
Haha im so up for this now. but we seemed to have gone off on 3 tangents.

1) Buy a bucket, see what we can do with a 500 quid budget.
2) Group buy a car and see who can pedal it fastest
3) Nurburgring


I am up for 3, if someone wants to organize it, I know a lot of regulars I can ask for pricing.

Regarding buying a car, I would like to do 1, I think it will be really funny/great to see what people turn up with and what they've done :D I've got my eye on a few different options already :D :D
