Tomb Raider (2018)

Looks pretty good and actually has a decent cast in Vikander, Goggins and Wu. Then again, anything with Goggins in is worth a watch. Also has Hannah John-Kamen (Schwing) and Nick Frost in there too, so bonus.
 
When I first heard it was going to be Alicia Vikander I wasn't too impressed. But after the initial screenshots and now this trailer, I'd say she's very well cast for the 'new' Lara Croft. Looks like she came straight out of the 2013 game! Looking forward to it.

Having Walton Goggins in this is also great news. He's got to be one of the most under appreciated actors out there.
 
I hope they go back in and cgi the parts where she's hanging from 'cliffs' her body posture is all wrong for hanging in such a way you can tell she's on wires.

First part of the scene in the boat in a storm felt really fake as well.

Though I can look past that if the rest is good. Quite a hard genre to do anything really new and interesting in though heh plus I'm guessing fairly closely follows the game.
 
VFX in trailers are rarely finished, so these shots should look better in the final release. Movie looks really generic, although will check it out for Walton Goggins.

has every single rubbish gimmick used in trailers these days

from now on im not watching any films where the trailer uses that slo-mo-turn-the-bass-down thing

why !! why must they do it everytime? it must be the same bloke doing every bloody trailer - someone needs to tell him to stop it

next years "assassin's creed"

for all the talk of making a film like the rebooted games, it looks a bit too much like the old one still? at least the climbing axe made it in :D
 
Yep, it's got the cheese of the Jolie films.

It could have been a good origins film, but looks like a generic by the numbers action flick.
 
Look like its combing Tomb Raider 2013 and Rise of the Tomb Raider. Cant say I too happy with this as the whole trinity thing for Rise of the Tomb Raider and it being tied to her father just never work for me, hopefully the movie can go a better job of it.
