Afternoon all, I've just received my PC after shipping it from the UK to here in California. It was very well packaged along side being layered up in Styrofoam and bubblewrap. Inside the box was also a bunch of board games and books. Most, if not all the board game boxes have been damaged and ripped open on the corners (as if it was dropped on a corner).

I got insurance on the contents, the PC it's self has taken a nasty knock, my Lian Li case is bent in one corner at the back top right quite badly and one of the front panel mounts snapped and less bent on the front bottom left corner. The PC works just fine but it's obvious they did not take warning from the fragile stickers and I've no idea how they managed to mangle a solid ally case up that weighs the same as a small bloody car!

Either way, I paid a chunk of money for contents insurance to the right value, but seeing as the PC works, how do I go about this? State the case is broken but not the internals? Or just state the PC is damaged, as the insurance I got, I specified items in the box and simply put down £X amount for the PC. Not it's internals or individual parts.

If it had been a basic £50 case, I'd not car, but seeing as this is a top and and far from cheap case, I want to get my money back.

Thanks!

Claim for your losses incurred, no more no less. Check all the components. Provide photos and evidence of the box, the PC not working etc and damage.

I presume you signed for as damaged and have reported it?

Sadly not, here in the states, well, where I live. They just dump the parcel at your door as it's an apartment complex. So didn't get to check before he dumped it there. As for claiming, I've tested everything and it seems to only be the case that's damaged.
