Is there an app where I can use my android phone to scan books (I mean real books), but I can view my book collection online?
Hope this makes sense what I am asking for.

Not sure if it helps, but I scanned a couple into PDF format, and then uploaded them here: https://books.google.com/books

Means I could access them with any device that can access the Google Books site/app.

i thought you meant something else, it won't do what you want.

But why do you want to scan entire books in, that will take hours per book.
Better of just rebuying on kindle. Or finding a download as you own it anyway.

NO! I love the look and feel of real books and they are awesome. I want to scan them so I can quickly check that I dont already own it when in a bookshop.
I do say @Glaucus whats wrong with a real book?

so you just want a list then, not the actual full book scanned?
in which case goodreads does that. you can scan barcodes in and create a list of read/reading/want.
Install app, sign up, go to my books and scan away.

and books take upto much space and audio books are better. For a start can listen whilst waking/driving.
