Hello,
I've never had a high-end PC for gaming but with the recent releases of Forza 7, Forza Horizon 3, Tekken 7, Street Fighter V etc, I'd like to buy a PC that can play these games and future arcade ports/driving games at 4k 60fps, maxed-out settings.
I also want to use the latest emulators. I'd like to not need to upgrade the GPU for a few years, if possible.
This seems ideal.

What would the audio be like? Is there any weak-link in this system? Do I get a keyboard and mouse? Is there anything being released soon that I should wait for (Graphics Card)?

Thanks in advance,
Si

I have a Samsung 49" 4K TV that I use for my PC / Consoles. Man cave sofa gamer here.
All I can say is check what the response rate is of the TV. I believe mine is 16ms... which isn't too high.

In terms of 4K ultra settings @ 60fps solid... hit and miss.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands - can't do that.
The Division - Can almost do that.
Rise of the Tomb Raider - CAN do it.
Destiny 2 (beta) - CAN do it.
Gears of War 4 - CAN do it.
Far Cry 4 - CAN do it.
Assassin's Creed: Unity - CAN do it.

All depends on how optimized it is.

Now, you are thinking "OK - how about I knock it to 2560x1440 - that'll do it!"... but you'll find your TV may only do that resolution @ 30Hz.

Firstly I personally wouldn't spend £2000 on a rig with a 7700k when the 8700k (six core) releases tomorrow. There's nothing wrong with the 7700k, infact it'll likely be good for a few years in games. But as with every intel cpu launch the new cpus are generally not much more than the cpus they replace. So I think an equivalent rig with 8700k isn't going to be much more in price.

Secondly, realistically you're not going to be able to buy a pc today (with a single gpu) that can push 4k/60fps for the next few years, a 1080ti today can't even do that on every game. PC gaming still isn't at the point where 4k is the new 1080p. But we're getting closer. 1440p would be more realistic in my opinion as a 1080ti would be strong enough for a while at that resolution.

You mention 4k but is that to drive a tv or would it be a monitor purchase? If it's a monitor that you'd purchase and you want your pc to max out games for a few years then I'd definitely look at a lower resolution monitor.
