I never said we are the opposite of civilised. I said we are not as civilised and evolved as we like to think we are. Dont know where you got "opposite" from.

EDIT : I guess reading back , in my first post I did say quite the opposite when it gets down to it. So that was admittedly bad wording on my part. My point, which I didnt state very well, was that we are by no means as evolved and civilised as we make out.

I'm skeptical of the ISIS claim, just doesn't seem to fit. But having said that, why claim for something that can so easily be disproved. I guess time will tell.

What made him snap though? It's irrelevant what he looked like. The most inconspicuous people are capable of evil.

To find out the political leanings of the majority of the concert goers gives a better impression of the motivation for this.

and even if you did youd probbaly never understand it. if somone is having some sort if psychotic break then its generally going to be impossible to understand the reasoning with a sane mind without a long time to pick his reasoning apart through therapy etc.

I agree that it could be completely random and he just broke. His brother and the people that know him have already said he was a very mellow person, no run in's with the authorities or anything. He doesn't sound like a person that was broken, to me, it sounds like something triggered this. What was it?

The narrative in the media of Trump supporters are evil could be something that triggers someone with low critical reasoning skills and logic. It was a country music festival, filled with Trump supporters. People on the opposite political spectrum won't like hearing it, but this could be very much a case of attacking 'right wing' people in retaliation to Charlottesville or something. I don't think you can rule that out at all.

I feel so bad for people caught up in this... i'm so numb now.

But when I think about past attacks then these people now it fills me with deep sadness. You are randomly at a music festival just chillin with the boys and then you are dead.... it's just so wrong.

Exceptionally unlikely no matter how much you are wishing and willing it too be the case!

My money is on someone who became suicidal and decided to take as many people out with him as possible before killing himself, which is more often then not the case in situations like this (Columbine, VTec, Sandy Hook ..etc ..etc)
