He broke 2 windows in his 32nd floor room.
Quite an interesting video (not looked into it in any detail) from a taxi though where the sounds of firing appear to be coming from two different distances and positions - not just echos, etc. and have bursts of shooting that don't match up with the videos from the festival itself.
EDIT: Part of it matches up but there are segments of gunfire before and after what is seen in other videos that doesn't match with what has been reported so far.

Yeah, that's not how silencer works, you can still hear the guns. They're called suppressors also.
People don't like the idea of someone deliberately doing something like this on their own. It's the same as all the CT nuts saying 9/11 was an inside job. Nope. It turns out that Islamic terrorists really do hate us, and this guy had some crazy reason for wanting to kill a load of people. It's not a conspiracy, it's not the government, life really is this messed up.
Come off it. All the videos will sound inconsistent depending on where people were at any given time.

Yes light does travel faster than sound, at a fraction of a second.. even less, and there was clearly more than a couple of seconds between the shots.
Some weapons specifically designed for certain types of work are quite close mind - the MP5SD variants with the built in suppressor and the right subsonic ammo are close to the kind of perception of a silencer people tend to think and there is a sniper rifle I can't recall the name of that has its own optional specially designed silencer and exotic supersonic ammo which is also quite close. Sticking a suppressor on a regular as-15 with normal ammo, etc. though isn't even close to silencers in a movie, etc.
I've not had a look into the background of the video as to its authenticity, etc. but it has 3 bursts of gunfire at the start which are very definitely different distances and positions - then matches up more with what we've already seen, then differs again.

EDIT: Actually wonder if the gunman fired 4-5 rounds from one window (possibly to remove the glass rather than using a hammer as thought) then did the same to the next then went back and shot 4-5 rounds through the original window then started the attack that people actually knew about and the window positions were different enough in respect to the position of the taxi that it significantly changed the acoustics.
Again when people start to ask questions that dont add up your a CT nut. But I do wonder how building number 7 came down that day when it was not even hit by a plane. But If the news reporters say it then it must be true.
So I'll stop asking questions and follow the rest of the crowd to be labled normal.
My problem is that people are making statements about guns when they have no idea what the **** they're talking about

indeed, anything supersonic (which 5.56 very much is) is going to have a loud crack regardless of how much suppressor you stick on the end. "a suppressor doesn't make a marksman silent, it just makes him invisible"
I suspect few posting here are actual experts anyhow. I've a tiny bit of background in it/actually shooting experience and a lot of time spent casually following certain youtubers.
Was your video out of sync beacuse the one I saw was not more than 1/8 of a second out to the flashes. If I was you I would just watch a few videos and see what you think as I'm a bit confused and unsure my self.
I don't know what to think, but it's clear your mind is made up by the news.
Watch some of the footage like the ~18 minute one by a taxi driver - that flashing on the ~4th floor is way out of sync with any shooting and at the distance he is there wouldn't be more than about 100-150ms delay between light and sound.
Some of the stuff in the videos though - one guy just standing there flipping the finger at the position the shots are coming from and another, who has got a bit of criticism, heroically if misguidedly trying to draw the shooter's fire (though AFAIK isn't shot and at that range wouldn't make much odds).
I feel people are against me when I comment on this, but all I do is look for evidence other than the news on tv. And this is wrong for what reason?
I am not saying it's a false flag or ISIS or anything else, I'm just not so sure about what we are being told.
