Asus Maximus X Apex Release Date?

Has there been any rumors or sources that have indicated when this board will hit general availability? I've looked around myself and can't find anything, but maybe someone knows something I dont.

ASUS PR indicated an October release, but I can't find anything else as far as an updated release schedule goes. I'm sure that retailers and partners are already aware but are likely under NDA, but I know from previous experience that the end date on those NDAs tend to be less heavily protected, so if anyone has any info on NDA expiration too, please share it.

Got a 8700K sitting on my desk and nowhere to socket it until the Apex becomes available, and I'm checking back every day - knowing when the release is likely would make the wait an awful lot less tedious.

I hear early November. I want the Formula, but that going to be late November. I'm not waiting. I have my chip sitting on my desk as well. I'm getting either Asus Hero or Gigabyte Gaming 7?

Hero is solid. I did a lot of testing with that board.

Apex is the best for bench and efficiency especially on mems if you want to run high stable mem OCs.

I really want this board, would love to know what the price tag at least starts with. 3, 4?

ASUS PR indicated it'd launch at $349.99 in the US. Based on the price of the Hero in the US and the UK being $260/£260 respectively, I assume we'll be looking at £350 or so.
Could be slightly more seeing as its an enthusiast product though, that's all just guesswork.

Big part of my current build is going to be playing around and trying to get the highest stable OCs I can get across the board, just for the hell of it.
It would be a shame to buy the Team Group RAM and then not pair it with a 2DIMM board, but waiting sucks. I take it you're not able to give us any pointers about how long we'll have to wait?

I think the X299 Apex released what, a little over a month after the 7900X hit the shelves? Will it be similar?

Kinda figured it would be around that mark. Hopefully it'll come in closer to 300. That, an 8700k and some 8Pack RAM for around a grand is what I'm aiming off for

Same same, 8Pack said in a few weeks but don’t think that was based off exact schedules... my 8700k might turn up this week so hopefully I can grab the rest the following week.

@Gibbo any chance of an early bird preorder deal? The RRP is public on Asus tables so presume it’s allowed - would love to get it ordered ready. Bundle deal on the 8Pack mems would be even better

Just depends on price.... I'm happy with a 5Ghz chip and 3600 8Pack with a EKWB block. 1080ti strix and new Predator monitor and I'm good to go. forever. til icelake.

If the choice of cooling includes a water block I'll jump at this if its out in early Nov

Yes cooling will include waterblock as a choice for sure.

For different speeds other than the one I just mentioned we can do no problem. Call up and I will OC IT and set it up.
