Last of Us remastered [Advice]

I've completed the game several times and not once have i had a clicker or anything else do this. Regards the game itself, it relies on tension and the need to sneak around to get the best out of it, playing it on easy removes this aspect and pretty much spoils the enjoyment and atmosphere.

Well in that case I won't finish it. I was only playing for the story because told it was good.

But didn't want to repeat each section hundreds of times. Which is why I chose easy. But the gameplay just doesn't feel fun.

If it wasn't for clickers even during stealth it wouldn't be as bad. That's not forgetting the retarded boss battles

I'll just watch somone else play it.

If you mean by suck. Wanting to enjoy a story without being broken by immersion bugs and constant replaying sections then fine.
I suck because I wanted to enjoy a game story...

Hmm, I’ve never heard or seen this teleporting thing either. Though I did love getting really really close and on the edge of being caught with the clickers and screamers.

Even at points I knocked over rope stands, crap crap crap! Tippy, tippy toe! Also love the way the AI works in this game where everyone is after you, kill some and camp somewhere safe then they’re back to wandering around.

Though I’m dreading Winter on Grounded. Still need to finish Grounded as I want to Platinum Remastered.

IMO, sneaking through a dark room full of clickers with three bullets left and having to scavenge for supplies is part of the immersion in this game. It's all based on having to think before every encounter. It gets really tense at times and that, compared with the really brutal and down-to-earth combat, makes the gameplay exceptional.

If you don't like that and don't want to get frustrated, then watch it if you prefer. I haven't seen any immersion breaking bugs save for the AI occasionally doing something stupid when enemies were around but there's no game in existence that nails this perfectly.

I think I had only used one bullet so far from the beginning when it tells you to pickup a clip. Pulverising them with bricks, wood and bottles is so much more fun.

Yeah, I think so too. The strength of hand-to-hand combat in this game lies in the fact that it feels very real. Throwing a bottle or a brick in someone's face and then running up to smash his head into a wall, you can almost feel the pain. Same with choking them.

Didn't even know bottles and bricks hurt them tbh

That plus all the weapons disappear really quickly makes it feel worthless to upgrade them. Unless I'm missing something?

The game tells you that, how did you miss that crucial information?

No offence but you sound like the sort of gamer who is better off watching games played properly on YouTube...

It would be better to just watch a film if he's not going to play. You'll get a better story from mist of them.

I much prefer the sneaking around approach to take down enemy's in this.

I normally use the bricks and bottles as distraction, not tried throwing them at anyone, do they faze them if thrown at the head so you can move in and take them down?

I play the same as that, bricks and bottles to distract and then move in for that oh so juicy shank kill.

Yes, they stun and wobble. Same happens if they run towards you and throw a brick or whatever at them. They’ll stop and wobble.

Sounds like you just suck :)

i had a look into this today as i got 7 days off. seems my PS didnt download any patches for this game... Manually done this, now the Chain & clickers are working as i expected them to.
no more tele-porting.

According to my Save data im now 67% through the game

The story seem like it finally getting better. but game-play wise its not making me want to pick it up and play it more like other ND games.

apart from the zombies/stealth it feels very much like uncharted. (Joel wise) will see once i complete it, but at the moment
not sure what the fuss it about. its a good game but not a Masterpiece people seem to make it out as.

Get to the end. Like most ND games it is all about the characters and story. Joel and Ellie's story is one of the best of its kind. But you still feel that way at the end then fair enough.

GOAT for me.

Edit. Well.. the first time I played it, I never got past the docks at the beginning on ps3. (Gave up at that part) until the remaster on the PS4.

It's a very very good game but it's not flawless, I found it hard to get into initially but once I got absorbed into the story I couldn't put it down.

However I've not played this for a while, I suspect the intention is not to overuse the guns.

I think the first 1hr or so is the worst, such as the dock's area, just seemed boring sneaking around this area, possibly because the environment here is a bit drab and there is no zombie action, just takes a while for the story to get going, its great there onward's.

The world seem's to open up as well, first 2-3 chapters you feel quite closed in with boring scenery, its when you get out of these parts you feel a lot more vulnerable to the world around you, not in an open world way just better open looking scenery.
