Can't remember the name of an online savings bank/account i had some money in about 12 years ago

Hi all, I've been doing some ppi claims and generally trying to organise things financially recently and I remember that I used to have a savings account at what I believe was an online only bank about 12 years ago. The thing is, I don't remember ever actually closing the account and there's a chance there might be some money left in it. I'm assuming the bank must have been bought out by someone else as I don't see them mentioned anywhere (if i did, i'd know the name!).

So...I don't suppose anyone might have some suggestions as to what this place might be. It was pretty popular and certainly not obscure. I vaguely remember an orange / blue theme on the website but the name simply eludes me! Many thanks :D
 
You will need to phone Barclays now. You would have been bombarded with letters when the account switched so unless you have moved you should have known about it. This is unless you only had a few quid in there in which case they would have sent a cheque to the address on the account before moving it over.

I know this as I worked on the project.

Thanks - as it happens I moved a few times during that period so will have missed the letters. I don’t think I have a substantial amount in there but I’m also fairly certain that the account was never closed.
