Recycling Problem - Sunderland

i used to bag my stuff like that, got a sticker on saying don't bag it. so i stopped. i thought they'd deal w/ plastic bags too but i was wrong. go figure.

I agree with Neil but a warning on the bin lid to you would've been enough for the first time, it's difficult to know what can and can't be recycled these days.
If can be, we get leaflets and it's on the council website though..

I can see the next thread "omg bin men stuck stickers on my bins, the audacity" or "what a waste of money" :D

I don’t think it’s too hard to look what your local council can and can’t recycle via curb side collection? The amount of non-recyclables you see in recycling bins on collection day is quite bad. The planet is doomed!

it really isn't, you can look on the councils website or you get a card a couple of times a year which has the date of collections and what can and cant be recycled and what box they need to go in.

I don't see what the op is complaining about. its his own mistake if he needs room not hard to take it yourself to tip or recycle centres.

You usually get instructions on what to put in. If it's not on there, don't put it in.

You only have 1 recyclable bin.
I have a pink one for food and garden, blue for paper, brown for plastic and metal. Then a black for anything else.

I never knew either surprised we have never been pulled up as well.
