I really don't know what you're expecting to happen. As much as anything else do you think transgender folk are going to be queueing up to use mainstream dating sites given the readily apparent difficulties they'd face?

it is simply a picture with an amusing visible contradiction highlighted... ergo the 'joke'

if you want to overthink this/break it down then I don't see that 'sex' need come into it - the T-Shirt states there are more than two genders and then has labeled what I'd see as two gendered options for the shirt. You seem to be objecting on the basis that they refer to 'sex' but I'd dispute this - a trans woman undergoing hormone therapy could easily want to buy the one labeled women etc.. a non-binary person could buy either etc..

If we really want to nit pick then - by producing two options and giving them the two standard gendered labels the message could be argued to have been somewhat undermined and perhaps either a single gender neutral t-shirt should have been produced or alternate non-gendered labels given for the two adult shapes if they wanted to stay on message.

ergo the knee jerk reaction that by posting the picture and/or finding the visible contradiction funny I somehow don't understand that a distinction is now drawn today between gender and sex is rather misplaced

Many of the people who don't understand the above are those who are advocating for trans stuff. They're fervently driving the idea that sex = gender. When they talk about gender, they're not talking about a person being able to dictate how feminine/masculine other people must percieve them as being. They're talking about a person being able to dictate how male/female other people must perceive them as being.

It affects everyone to varying extents and the deliberate conflation of sex and gender also affects everyone.

If somebody identifies as a girl but still has a penis and has sex with a boy, are they gay or straight?

Gay....100%.....or at least bisexual.....NO straight/Heterosexual man would have sex with another man, no matter how that person "identifies", wears clothes or presents themselves with makeup.....once the clothes are off, its two biological males having sex.

this was mentioned on the first page of the thread:

for most people that would be 'gay' - likewise if Taylor Swift were to declare herself to be a 'man' I'd still be more than happy to sleep with her and wouldn't consider it to be gay


on the other hand in SJW world it is 'straight', likewise to the chap in the comment below raising the point that "something about sucking a **** just feels queer to me" has been well and truly corrected that because it is a '"womans penis" it is straight sex... yes the mental gymnastics around this are amusing

(and before someone quotes me again for finding this stuff funny - yes I'm aware people differentiate between sex and gender, no I'm not bothered if people want to identify as whatever they like, I will however still find some of the things surrounding it highly amusing)
