The JFK assassination files.

Famous man shot in car by another man with gun.

Obviously gun was being used for self protection because that's the only use for guns.

It was fake news. JFK is alive and well living in a bedsit in Swindon with his flatmate Elvis.

This years season of three in a bed is going to be epic.

I like reading conspiracy theories about Kennedy and the wider situation at the time, basically because everything was so crazy that you can kind of do enough mental gymnastics to convince yourself that the mafia or the CIA had him done in. Realistically though it's probably not the case, they probably would have liked to but I just don't think it's plausible. On the other hand I did love Ellroy's take on the whole thing through the Underworld USA Trilogy, definitely fertile ground for the imagination.

Like any declassified documents made public, the juicy stuff has long been burnt
They've said that some documents have been held back at the request of other agencies sooo...

Anyhoo. I find the whole thing ridiculous. 'merca simply can't handle the fact that their stupid gun laws allowed a lone mentalist to assassinate their President in broad daylight. End of story. All the conspiracy theorist are probably just led by the fact that they can't admit this.

The guy was a self confessed Marxist, travelled to Russia, Cuban embassies, Mexico etc. So very politically active. It's like, uh, duh..

Awesome book, says a lot about Ellroy as a writer that he can take so many disparate conspiracy theories and combine them in such a way that you actually start to question your own beliefs about what happened. Same with the LA Quartet and the Dahlia stuff.

It's a long watch however this guy claims he was part of it, what do you guys think, how could he make up and remember all these details. Also look up the Howard Hunt interviews, he claims extact the same.

2 hour 48 minute interview with a nutjob. Conspiracy theorists really are some of the most determined people. Think of all the wasted time and effort.

I was in primary school at the time, most of it passed me by.

Must admit that was some shot from the book depository though.

Can't believe people are still banging on about this. Did 'Tikka to Ride' not teach people anything? JFK shot himself from the grassy knoll dressed as a Dallas Police officer.
