Upgrade, am I mad?

Looking at an upgrade for my current rig;

i5 4670k (on its last legs, struggles to maintain anything above 4ghz)
RX480
16GB RAM

Will be used mainly for gaming on a 1440p 144hz freesync monitor. Would like m.2 storage and will keep my other SSDs.

Was looking at something like this;

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £1,513.57
(includes shipping: £11.70)

Plus a case of some description. Do like the look of the Thermaltake view 71 or Cooler master c700p.

Also why would anyone chose https://www.overclockers.co.uk/8pac...90ghz-overclocked-ryzen-bundle-bu-00d-8p.html over the bundle in my basket?

Mainly though I would appreciate your input.

What motherboard do you currently have? You might stick i7 and be done with it? It would be cheaper option.

but with vega, comes the need to get yourself a nice 1440p ultra wide screen since they are so much cheaper then nvidia :D

looked at how much you could sell your Current cpu/mobo/ram on MM or else were?

just being the devil on the shoulder :D haha

I have a 1440p 144hz monitor with freesync. It annoys me that I can't get near 144 fps unless I turn a lot of the settings down low... sometimes I need to run at 1080p :O

Damn tech and it's shiny shiny.

that just screams Vega ! now if you went new- i'll just nudge you there ;) but also cant avoid the sound advice up above about I7 2nd hand

but then you will get shiny parts, warrant and more haribo PMSL
