I've just upgrade to a symmetrical gigabit connection thanks to Hyperoptic. Speedtest gives between 800-900 both ways. Sadly I'm on wireless until wired happens next week!

I was confused as hell when I looked at the poll options.

Only twigged on page 2 that it was a thread from a bygone age!
 
Stuck with this because, despite living in the middle of a large city, BTw haven't enabled fibre here and just to rub salt into the wound they keep on pushing the date back.

I'm with Virgin Media and I get 200 down and 12 up. Although that varies on Wi-Fi.

The thing I like best about being on Virgin is that at peak times the speed drop is hardly noticeable. Suffice to say, gone are the days of slow internet. :)

Edit: I don't know how to link the Speed test results.

This is through a 4G sim in a battery operated MIFI router and I'm limited to 32GB transfer a month. It can be hard work at times. :p

I twigged a little earlier, but not much.

Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition decade old thread necro!

I'm still on nominal 16Mbps, although I actually get about 12. Upload is dire at about 0.7. Ping is something ridiculously large, though since I don't game online I don't care. My VPN and firewall aren't playing nice together and my use of the web is a bit subpar as a result. But it all works well enough for me to not bother sorting it out.

The only time I care is when I buy a new game and it takes longer to download than I would like.
