Hi looking at a new build for around £800 what route should I go as it will be used for gaming only any help would be great

What resolution and refresh rate is the monitor? Any Freesync/Gsync?

I have a proposal for you. Little bit over the budget but the build is very solid and will give a good experience with the 1920x1080 @144Hz monitor.
In the future, you will be able to change the quad core processor with something better and more modern.

Yes, the graphics card is top notch for 1920x1080 plus the Ryzen 7 is the most advanced processor available right now.

Most cores to cost yes- Intel still hammer it at IPC / IMC side of things - but they cost more with less cores even without stock issues driving them up

Intel supporters will always find a reason why to recommend avoiding AMD Ryzen. Even if the latter is better in everything. They will find something artificial to cripple the recommendations

I can send a snap shot of my AMD NDA if you'd like - expired

you quoted a Ryzen build so went with Intel- as they finally-ish have a decent line up after sooo many years of milking peoples money - and more people support AMD, the better competition will get
