Personalised plates

You got V125 so it *might* bear a passing resemblance VRS? Why? Sounds like the sort of thing that might impress Max Power or Fast Car Magazine, or people in a Maccy's car park, but pretty pointless otherwise.

The money would have been better spent on something useful like a set of uprated brakes or a lifetime supply magic tree air fresheners.

There’s a faded red Vauxhall Agila around here with a 3 digit plate on it. I assume the old biddy who drives it has had the plate for years.

That’s classier than a new rented German car with a fudged plate.
Agreed 100% :)

Basically, most cars with private plates scream "bell-end" to me. Is there actually a viable justification for one?

Why do you need a viable justification for one? I can spend the money I earn on whatever I want. If I choose to spend it on a private plate, then so be it. Funnily enough I do have a private plate and for a very specific personal reason. Something again which is of no relevance to people like you.

I had a bad one back in the day that was a fudged version of my name, the spacing was out and there were bits of "dirt" over it to help it make more sense for my name. It was crap but I didnt have any issues with it.

Moreso when VRS is easily achieved with any VR51 onwards plate or a range of prefix plates that finish VRS, still with nice single digits available too.

His will have been cheaper. And substantially cheaper than a dateless plate with VRS in it.
£600 for something like F5 VRS, £500 for X123 VRS.

If I was going to buy a plate I'd rather spend the extra £200 or so to get one with the actual letters on it :p

If your plate is indeed V125 VRS then don't amend the spacing at all it doesn't require it and will look gash if you do.

Congratulations. I obviously don't need the spacing.

no need for that, why would you want it to say "VRS VRS" that'll look stupid, why would you actually want it to say VRS at all? its a skoda vrs, it's not supposed to be loud and look at me kinda thing.

v125 vrs will look smarter, still pointless but hey oh, each to their own.

Thanks for the feedback.
