I have a 63 plate 3 series which has passed the mileage limit on its Service Inclusive pack, so I now pay for servicing. The car has full BMW service history and had its first MOT at the BMW dealer too.

I have just realised I am coming up to MOT time. BMW states that models bought 2013 - 2017 with Service Inclusive are covered by MOT protect for their 2nd and 3rd MOT. (BMW)

Does this cover cars which Service Inclusive packs have now expired?

Read the first t and c in your own link.
Standard MOT protect included on all BMWs since 2009 is for the first MOT only. With service inclusive, MOT protect is extended to the second and third MOTs. What it doesn't say is if the extended MOT protect remains active once the service pack has expired (due to mileage not age, my pack was 5yrs/60k miles).

MOT Protect cover will rectify any technical issues described hereafter that cause the vehicle to fail its second and third MOT which will be due no later than 48 and 60 months from the date of first registration.

No mention of mileage

That's how I view it too, but it seems too good to be true. Just wondering if anyone has any experience of this before I ring up to book it in tomorrow.

To me it's clear in black and white. Can alwaysbclarify it before you book it in for peace of mind.

Also not sure what you realistically expect to find on a 4 year old cars MOT (that has been looked after even reasonably well). Hardly seems.risky for BMW

My step-dad had his 318 fail for corroded brake lines 7 years ago when it was 4 years old!
