So i finally started building my new loop but i want to get rid of my pastel liquid and go with mayhems pure h2o. I was wondering what would i need to add into a loop to make it safe. I know i would need kill coil but what else should be put into it. My loop is made from 360mm and 240 copper rads and EKWB nickel waterblocks for gpu and cpu.

I'll be using mayhems purple dye to make liquid purple but i was wondering is there any additive to make it UV reactive? i kept trying to find some but with no luck. Also i was gone use mayhems XT-1 UV purple but i heard its not compatible with PETG tubing.

Pastel comes with biocides and inhibitors already does it not? You should be good to go.

i had mayhems pastel white in my loop for over 2 years. and i want to change it for water with dyes in it. Im getting rid of pastel, since i wouldnt be able to get same UV effect that i want to go for.

If you use Mayhems X1 pre-mix it has all the additives that you need. Going by the description I believe it's made with their pure H2o as well so you would be killing two birds with one stone. There is also the X1 concentrate (a 250ml bottle makes 2 ltr of coolant) which you can add to Pure H2o but that works out more expensive. X1 seems to be safe with all types of tubing both soft and hard.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £27.84
(includes shipping: £9.90)

The guy from DazMode youtube channel stated that xt1 is not to be used with petg tubing thats why it scared me

X1 is a completely different product to XT1 as it does not use Glycol. It's safe with all tubing and I wouldn't have suggested it otherwise based on your requirements. Click on the link I posted above to the Mayhems X1 pre-mix and then click on the 1st image on the left hand side. Click on it again to enlarge it and you can see which of Mayhems coolants you can use with different types of tubing. X1 is safe with all.

why you wouldnt suggest it, is it bad or something? Would you rather suggest using mayhems UV pastel white and adding dye to it?

He wouldn't have suggested X1 if it were bad for your loop. In other words X1 is good with PETG tubing, XT1 is bad for PETG tubing.

Although XT1 lasts a lot longer if you can get together a loop without PETG or flexible tubing without plasticiser in.
