Am at Covent Garden Apple store and there is a massive queue. Looks like the reservation system didn’t work very well. Might be a couple of hours.
 
So another frustrating morning with the John Lewis website letting me get the phone in my basket and then continual errors until finally "!out of stock". Really getting quite irritated by this, had the same with the Apple Store app last week.

Last throw of the dice - do we know if anyone has stock? If not I think i'm just going say screw it and not bother - this amount of effort to give a company £1200 is really getting silly.
 
Can you not just wait the few days people have said CPW are doing? I mean i really want mine today too seeing as I know a few of my friends are but the mad panic to have it on Day 0 baffles me.
 
Oh I can, but it will slip from impulse buy to "that's silly money for a phone" and i'll probably not bother then. You could suggest in which case the delay is a good thing :)
 
I know the feeling of getting caught up in the mad rush. I almost ended up buying one outright on pre-order day because I couldn't find the upgrade option.
 
I have managed to order two Iphone X space grey 64gb through my work with staff discount its a pretty hefty saving, seen them going for silly money on ebay has anyone any advice on selling on ebay as its quite a lot of money to potentially get scammed out of... cheers.

You should have thought of this problem when you ordered two. Have you not sold anything of high value before or is your post really just to let people know that you got two on the cheap?

Just a heads up, if it's a product your company sells and there is evidence you are profiteering from staff discount, I'm guessing it won't be looked upon favorably (most likely!)

I’m satisfying myself with my 8 since it cost me £570 as I bought in the US in September, I’m at the silly money argument for the X currently but next year if I’m back over in the states then the saving will be too tempting to resist :p
 
Starting to regret getting an 8 plus. Seeing all these people get the X
but the cost just got too crazy for me.

I imagine the jealousy of new tech will go in a few days! haha

Seems to keeping popping in stock at John Lewis every few minutes for anyone interested.

I bought two as one was going to be for someone else, however the prices i have seen on ebay today made me think to possibly selling it on there but i have not sold anything on ebay over £400 before, if i wanted to just let people I got them cheap would i of not included a price ?

That is why i didn't include the company name but as far as i am aware there is no rules to stop staff selling on items that can be bought elsewhere already.

Similar boat but happy with my 8+ which is basically an X without Face ID. Happy to wait a year.
