Effortless way to travel

Ohhhh...its the fault of number plates? The fact it was going to have a standard bs en plate must have been totally unforeseen.

It isn't standard sized, it's oversized...you can get plates in many sizes and still be BS compliant. They are being fitted by dealers with the larger style plates and it does make it look odd compared to the thinner plates you get on most cars.

I've seen a few on the road and it looks bloody awful.
On previous models it made sense as the rear window was asymmetric or it had the spare wheel on the back. With the symmetrical rear windows it just looks stupid.

Yeah, not a fan of the looks either.
Is it narrower and smaller in general than the previous Disco?

One more thing; "Piano Black" still looks 'orrible, cheap and tacky.

Never seen an Alpina one of these before

Although not a genuine Alpina it would seem, just the normal 4L v8 instead of the 4.7 in the Alpina version...

Still cool. I do love those.

I dont mind alpina-ised old BMW's as long as theyre done properly. (i.e engine changed to be the same etc) rather than just putting stickers on it.

Such a timeles design, hands down one of the best looking bimmers ever made. And pop up lights. Bitches love pop up lights.
