Hi lads my r9 just bricked and im looking for some cheap but slightly better upgrade.
I dont play that much anymore but my r9 was able to play most of the new game on medium settings etc so i would love to be able to play games at the same quality or a little better.
What are your suggestions ?

Thanks in advance and heres my poor old setup:

CPU- i5-3570k 3.40 oc'd to 4.40
MB- gigabyte z77 d3h
RAM - 8gb not sure what type
PSU - Corsair 550w

Budget?

£200-250 will see you a second hand 980ti that will bliw the 290 out the water. Slightly better than a 1070 in most games to give you an idea. If wanting new then a 1060. Im a bit out of touch with team red on gpu's as have lost interest at the moment hoping they change me back soon

Before anyone bangs in that 550w is not enough for a 980ti my ryzen 1600x and 980ti machine pulls hight 300's some times peaking 440watts gaming

Vega 56 if you can get one for about £380 or a 1070 if in your budget ! anything else lower is just a side grade

if on a budget look for a second hand 980 Ti, still one of the best out there especially once overclocked

I know i mentioned this earlier but just been tasked with doing a build for a friend for £650 and i seriously cannot get anything that performs this well for this price. Really is the best fps per £ in the sub £300 mark.

Yea...the sub £300 bracket for graphic card performance haven't really move on much from the R9 290 from 4 years ago. Like you said the 980Ti 2nd hand is best bang for bucks in the 2nd hand market for those that can pay up to £300.
